Cape Cod Brewery Tour

Cape Cod Beer is Cape Cod's only distributing microbrewery with beer on tap in over 200 locations and in 125 package stores from Plymouth to Provincetown. Once a day, Monday through Saturday – promptly at 11 am – they conduct a short tour, which is worth a stop.

The free tour (more of a talk and look around the small facility) takes no more than 30-45 minutes, with friendly and well-informed staff telling you about the brewing process. For many, the highlight is the tasting -- $5 gets you a souvenir logo tasting glass and 3-oz. samples of five brews of your choice. (Naturally, you can buy your favorites in larger amounts thereafter; as the brewery doesn’t ship off the Cape, it’s the only way you’ll be able to find it when you go home.) Self-guided tours and tasting all day.

If you go on days other than Saturday (when the Brewery opens at 11), you might want to arrive early and get a jump on the tasting (not to mention a better spot for the tour.) Brewery hours are 10 am-6 pm Monday through Friday; 11-4 on Saturday. Closed on Sundays. If you miss the tour (they’re a production brewery, so they only do one a day), you can still stop by for a taste; they stop selling samples about 30 minutes prior to close and stop selling pints about 15 minutes prior to closing time each day.
