Elvis Experience by Leo Days
The Stadium Theatre in Woonsocket was built in 1926, and is one of the few remaining examples of the majestic Vaudeville Theatre era in operation today. And the show this Saturday is a good-looking throwback itself -- with Leo Days, one of the most versatile Elvis tribute artists around, playing the King.
Two things make Leo’s show great. First, he does his own vocals, piano and guitar (there are others who just lip synch to pre-recorded tracks.) Second, backed by the B-Siders band, he recreates all three Elvis eras -- the rock "n' roll 50's, the sexy black leather of the 60's and the Vegas years of the 70's – with all the costumes and pomp you’d expect. If you’re an Elvis fan, it’s a must. Even if you’re not an Elvis die-hard, it’s a hoot.
Show is at 8 p.m. Tickets are $26, $31, and $36.
