Fickle Flute by Nth Degree
Winter is concert season in Southern New England, and to celebrate the New Year, why not the Cape Symphony’s new force in chamber music – Nth Degree.
Nth Degree is a creation of Jae Cosmos Lee, the Cape Symphony Concertmaster, who directs a group of Symphony principals and some talented special guest artists. Nth Degree is back for a fourth season. Enjoy Cape Symphony up close and personal as they take classical music to the Nth Degree! Their first offering is called Fickle Flute - a repertoire of flute, violin and piano.
Lest you think this is the same old, same old, the whole series is designed to present the old masters in a new light. The repertoire chosen for this series is purposely eclectic. Each one exposes the talent and range of symphony musicians in a way you’ve never heard before. Each one has a story to tell. And the intimate setting has been chosen as carefully as the music, so musicians and audience can talk, share and really get to know the music – and each other – before, during and after the concert. It has all the ingredients for a very entertaining evening.
Performance is 3 pm at a new venue this year, Federated Church of Orleans. Tickets are $25 for general admission. Visit www.capesymphony.org to book.
