Providence Restaurant Weeks

It’s hard to think of anything that could make Providence's red-hot culinary scene even more appealing, but Providence Restaurant Weeks (that’s right, two weeks!) may just do the trick.

Starting January 14 and lasting until January 27, about 100 area restaurants agree to offer special deals -- $16.95 for a three-course prix-fixe lunch, and $29.95 or $34.95 for a three-course prix-fixe dinner. (As you’d expect, the prix-fixe menu is limited, and beverages, tax and gratuities are not included.) What makes this an especially outstanding offer is the large number of top restaurants that take part, all in a city that Saveur magazine has named “one of the most notable small dining destinations in the world.” (Providence has also been voted the number one city in the US by readers of Travel + Leisure, but that’s another story.)

Not all restaurants offer both lunch and dinner, and some elect to offer 2-for-1 deals in lieu of the prix-fixe pricing. To find a complete listing of participating restaurants and the deals they’re offering, visit
