15th Annual Charity Chowder Cook Off

With all the snow, the only thing better than a steaming hot bowl of chowder is your choice of about 15 of them – something you can only find this Saturday at the Olde Mistick Village Annual Cabin Fever Festival & Charity Chowder Cook Off.

This is the 15th year for this shootout, which (appropriately enough) kicks off at high noon. Over 15 of the area's finest restaurants participate, with celebrity chefs choosing the winner in three categories, and the public picking “Best Chowder.” Three-ounce samples are $1 each, although chowder lovers will undoubtedly prefer the 12 tickets for $10 option. (All awards will be presented in the meeting house/chapel, in Olde Mistick Village at 5 pm). Proceeds benefit the Emergency Food Pantry at the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center.

Don't forget there will be FREE family fun events for children of all ages throughout Olde Mistick Village all day. This fun family festival is a rain, snow or shine event. Call 860-536-4941 for more info or check out all the details here:
