Kennedy Legacy Walking Trail
Walk in the footsteps of the family that is sometimes referred to as American Royalty via the Kennedy Legacy Walking Trail in Hyannis on Cape Cod. See the church where Kennedy weddings took place, the place where President-elect Kennedy gave his acceptance speech, and learn about the famous Kennedy Compound which JFK’s parents, Joe and Rose, bought as a summer getaway in 1928.
The trail is an easy walk of approximately 1.6 miles and features 10 points of interest along the way. Just follow the blue sails stenciled on the sidewalk. At each point, you can use your smartphone for more info and imagery on the Kennedy story at that location. Take time next month to also visit the John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum on Main Street, which features exhibits and videos about JFK and the Kennedy Family from 1934 to 1963.
While you are in Hyannis, plan some extra time to explore Main Street and its shops, restaurants and extensive arts and cultural offerings. Check all the details: http://www.kennedylegacytrail.com/
