Davis Mega Maze

Most of the year, Davis Farmland is a U-pick farm, with domestic animals for kids to pet and feed, pony and hayrides, and even a water sprayground. But in fall comes something that has made Davis Farm world famous – the Mega Maze.

Mazing has been a Davis specialty since 1995, and the mazes just seem to get bigger every year. (CNN has called the Davis Mega Maze the #1 Corn Field Maze in the world.) It’s redesigned annually, and encompasses 8 acres and almost 3 miles of puzzling pathways. You can spend 3 hours figuring your way around, but if you still have energy (or if you want a break from the Mega Maze, which you can leave at any time) there’s a Courtyard with 50 family-fun attractions including an American Ninja Training Obstacle Course, Human Foosball, giant tube slides, archery tag and a petting zoo. And did we mention there’s live music, craft beer and wine, Kansas City BBQ,  and campfire rental sites?

The Mega Farm Festival opens September 14, with U-Pick apples and pumpkins and music from Cosmic Slim & The Intergalactic Cowboys (noon -3 pm) and the MSF Band (5:30-8:30 pm).  Hours are 11am to 10 pm Saturdays; 11-6 on Sundays through September 29, with Friday hours starting October 4 (5 – 9 pm). Tickets are 21.95 adults; 18.95 children 5-12; kids under 5 are free. The Festival does close for inclement weather so it’s worth checking the website home page (Are We Open Today section) or calling 978 422 8888.
