Mystic Restaurant Week
Mystic Chamber’s Restaurants Week has been a favorite Mystic Chamber event for a while, and it’s part of a nationwide movement that’s been going on even longer. But there’s a good reason to feature Mystic’s fall restaurant week this year (yes, there’s one that usually occurs in March as well): the eating in Mystic just gets better and better.
Mystic’s restaurant scene has always been good, with restaurants like the Daniel Packer Inne and Mystic Seaport’s Latitude 41 serving up seafood and more in a 19th century (and earlier) ambiance. But this year, the family of not-to-be-missed oyster club and engine room restaurants (which includes the new grass & bone) joins the party, along with Noah’s (a favorite in the nearly perfect and nearby waterfront town of Stonington Borough). Add to that Olde Mistick Village vicinity favorites Go Fish, the Steak Loft, and Irons at the Hilton, plus The Mariner in downtown, and you can spend a delicious weekend… which is not to mention all the other things there are to do on fall weekends in Mystic.
Restaurant week runs through November 10. Pricing varies, but is prix fixe, usually for a limited three course menu – a first course, an entrée, and dessert. It’s always a great deal: $15 for lunch and $25 for dinner is the going rate at Go Fish and Steak Loft; $17 and $27 at Daniel Packer Inne, for example.
