Mystic Wellness Weekend
The Kula Project is one of those cool little discoveries, a little yoga studio/store/juice bar down by the water in Mystic, where you can get out on paddleboards in the summer and stop by for a relaxing massage and a Matcha Latte in the winter. And on January 25th, you can get the best introduction – it’s the first-ever Mystic Wellness Weekend.
The Weekend is actually one day, but it’s a full one, combining yoga and healthy eating with an introduction to the Mystic community. After brief introductions, you start with an all-levels yoga session by Fiona Saluk, followed by a light lunch from Karma Kitchen. After lunch, there are afternoon workshops – a talk about the importance of nutrition to self-care by Shelby Iapoce-Lintz of Heirloom Happy (which you can enjoy with chair massages), plus a Restorative Workshop from Emily de Labry (with optional acupuncture from Spark Wellness.) Around 5 pm, it’s time to wind down with a pre-dinner drink, followed by a delicious dinner prepared by 85th Day Catering (the chefs behind Mystic’s acclaimed Oyster Club and Engine Room.)
Overall, it promises to be an amazing day, from registration at 11:30 am to dinner, which ends at 7 PM. All-inclusive cost is $200 for events, food and activities. If you can’t make the event, but are in Mystic for other reasons, stop by the Juice Bar or make an appointment at Le Spa Mystic; there is also a small retail store and multiple daily studio classes (walk-ins are possible, but classes can be full, so it’s recommended you call ahead.)
