80s Day at Yawgoo Valley

Yawgoo Valley is Rhode Island’s only place for skiing and snow tubing, and a fun place to spend a day (or evening), with 36 acres of terrain, a 2200’ run, and the requisite double chair lifts and rope tows. And Saturday, February 22, they’ve added a little extra fun – it’s 80s Day!

Break out your 80s ski suit and rock out to some memorable (or memorably awful) 80s tunes, with the best dressed winning a prize (and likely a feature on the Yawgoo Valley social media page!) If you’re tired of skiing (or have folks in tow who don’t want to learn), there’s also an ice tubing park with 8 carved lanes, which requires no experience, even when you’re towed back up. And when you need a break from both skiing and tubing, there’s also a lodge with a cocktail lounge upstairs and a cafeteria downstairs (sorry, no actual lodging.)

There are two ski sessions on the 22nd – daytime (9 am – 4 pm) and evening (5-9pm), and the lift tickets are reasonable -- $35 per person for the afternoon and $25 for evening, whatever your age. (As you’d expect, rental equipment and lessons are not included.)  Snow tubing is a separate ticket, and a slightly different location – 220 Yawgoo Valley Road.
