The Granite Theater
Westerly is one of Southern New England’s most charming towns, so it figures the resident theater would be no less charming. And the Granite Theatre – located in handsomely restored Greek Revival Church from 1843 – is just that.
The company that performs here –the Renasisance City Theatre – puts on about 8 shows a year, most of them with familiar titles, but they sprinkle in a few surprises. It’s a community theater, but the Jepsons, who fill the Artistic Director and Assistant Artistic Director roles, are pros with literally thousands of performances behind them, so you’re in good hands.
